The Spawnpoint

The Spawnpoint (also known as the Spawn Elevator) is a naturally-generated structure where players spawn on when playing on a world for the first time, and where revived players respawn.

Overview

Appearance

The Spawnpoint is a 3x3 elevated structure with dirt and grass at the sides, and a solid metallic gray platform at the center.

It can be seen acting as the platform for the created hybrid on the Creature Selection scene, acting as an elevator for the hybrid creature. The platform might be interpreted as two doors based on the seam.

Natural Generation

For the Personal World, the location is {0, 0}, within the town of Noobia, as the town's centerpiece.

The second wave of Public Servers have shown that this isn't always the case, as the Spawnpoint itself is responsible for spawning and respawning the player characters, and some of them are in different coordinates.

Debug_fileempty

The Spawnpoint is placed using an item named debug_fileempty, a developer item likely used for building worlds which despawns after usage. As such, it ABSOLUTELY CANNOT be obtained through legitimate methods.

When placed beneath (exclusively) an NPC, the item will render the NPC null as an excessive placement, but there also have been inconclusive reports of it crashing the game when attempted to be placed. The item then disappears from the Inventory. [1]

Trivia

  • As with most hacked items, debug_fileempty CANNOT be obtained normally or legitimately in-game, thus, any and all items of it are illegal and most likely hacked in.
  • The debug_fileempty items can spawn as extras beneath NPCs after some updates. An illegitimate method of collecting the item has been listed as "Asking another player to help defuse the item". This method, however, is last recorded in sometime around 2022 and is likely patched along with the bug.

The game's map is procedurally generated with 10x10 chunk tiles, each type indicating a different biome. They include the following list:

Water

Water chunks are home to aquatic/amphibian mobs, although they do not have many natural resources and the only practical effect is that your hybrid model gets pushed down half a block.

The next two types can only be accessed via Pocket Dimensions

Underworld

Underworld chunks are from the Underworld dimension, accessible via the Spooky Well. Prominent features include lava, Magmite ore (Still the most overpowered ore out there), and Vengeful Spirits.

Sky

Sky chunks come from the Sky dimension, accessible via the Magic Beanstalk. Cloud tiles featured in these chunks can be destroyed with a Drill. These chunks also frequently spawn the Angel mob.

Upon the initial loading of a world map, chunks in the towns' assigned coordinates get overwritten with the town's corresponding biomes. Then the town structures are placed on top of the new biomes, clearing any obstructions in the way. The procedure makes sure that the towns have the correct biomes, but has led to a few bugs being introduced. The latest of which is one that causes outside Overworld chunks (That are interactible) to spawn outside of NPC houses as you enter them.
