Anvil

Anvils are crafting stations that are used to unlock the first tier of weapon and armor recipes, along with refining metal ores.

Anvils can also be bought from Pineapple Pig or Vitamin Ape.

You need a metal bar in order to craft an Anvil, but you need an Anvil to craft a metal bar first! This issue has been referenced as "The iron-y".
- To solve this, you can use the anvil in Noobia near Pineapple Pig, buy metal bars (Pineapple Pig), or kill certain Creatures (rare). Recommendations for the latter include Vehicular/Dwarven hybrids.
